Mrs. Groves

Get to know Mrs. Groves

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. My father was born in Cuba and my mother was born in Honduras. I graduated high school from Barbara Goleman Senior High in Miami.

 

I then attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as two minors; one in Mass Communications and another in Art History.  I graduated from UF Cum Laude with honors. While at UF I was involved in Model United Nations, attending conferences throughout the country, as well as being a staff member at GatorMUN. I am very big on volunteering, therefore, I was also an active member in Alpha Phi Omega throughout my four years of college. APhiO, is a national co-ed community service fraternity. 

 

Currently, I am on my 6th year at Clewiston High School and I teach AP U.S. Government and Politics and American Governemnt. I am also currently working on my masters degree in Political Science at Florida International University. I married Mr. Groves, a Dean at CHS, in a destination wedding on March 20, 2016 in Savannah, Georgia. We are expecting our first bundle of joy Luke Groves in December.
